Job Function: This position serves as a point of contact between the public as well as the Children’s Forum membership program. This position answers the incoming phone lines, interacts with walk in customers, opens and processes mail and deliveries, and provides support and inquiries of Children’s Forum members.

Specific Job Duties:

Customer Service and Front Office Support

  • Conveys friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.
  • Answers phones in a clear and friendly manner
  • Listens to callers’ needs, sends caller to appropriate staff member for more advance assistance.
  • Assists with ordering supplies and products for employees.
  • Sorts and date stamps incoming mail
  • Attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Membership Services Support

  • Answers questions and provides support to Children’s Forum members via incoming phone calls and email inquiries.
  • Returns calls to members who leave voicemail messages.
  • Discusses membership options and provides solutions with Directors in particular for credential renewals.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate a multiline phone system.
  • Strong computer skills and efficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively organize work/project needs and work independently.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Work experience in an office setting desired.

Education and Experience: High school diploma and two years of work experience
