Job Function
Provide support and counseling in transcript translation and evaluation, course selection, and professional development pathways.
Specific Job Duties
- Ensure program quality and consistency.
- Model professional behavior supporting the Children’s Forum mission and vision.
- Participate in professional development to build competence.
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with all clients.
- Maintain communication with key stakeholders and community partners.
- Review and process incoming documents from the Children’s Forum Portal.
- Provide technical assistance and support to Children’s Forum Portal users.
- Track and update information for assigned participants.
- Process and track documents for eligibility, payments, and reimbursements.
- Maintain accurate database records of expenses and activities.
- Communicate and counsel applicants and participants.
- Respond to requests for information.
- Generate notification letters and other necessary forms.
- Review records to monitor for accuracy.
- Assist participants and centers with required documents for all Workforce programs.
- Assist in outreach efforts that include, but are not limited to, presentations.
- Attend meetings, trainings, workshops, and conferences as assigned that are related to this position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in data entry.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Must be organized and able to multitask.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Tolerate the noise level in the work environment, which is usually moderate.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, or related field.
