The Florida Early Childhood Advocacy Fellowship (FECAF) focuses on equipping and empowering Advocacy Fellows with resources to serve as change agents in in local, state, and national conversations around issues of early childhood and the early learning workforce. The program guides rising early learning advocates through the legislative process, with the support and knowledge of experts and leaders in the field.
The Fellowship program is a year-long commitment consisting of both in-person and virtual meetings, discussions between advocates and leaders and workshops with resources and tools to navigate the legislative space. Participants will have the opportunity to join the Children’s Forum in Tallahassee and observe the legislative process in action. Throughout the process, Fellows are also encouraged to build their networking skills and maintain relationships to expand their spheres of influence.
Our Advocacy Fellowship program would not be possible without the commitment and support from the Bainum Family Foundation. Their dedication helps pave the way for the next group of leaders in the early learning workforce.
Applications for the 2025-2026 fellowship group will open in Spring 2025. Be sure to follow Children’s Forum on social media and stay up to date on FECAF events and news.
